Wolaita Development Association has extended humanitarian support to communities affected by natural disasters.
The Association provided financial assistance amounting to ETB 400,000 to residents impacted by landslides and flooding in Mazo Doisa Kebele, Gacho Baba Woreda, Gamo Zone.
Mr. Hakime Ayele, Deputy Administrator of Gamo Zone and Head of the Labor and Skills Office, expressed his heartfelt appreciation on behalf of himself and the people of the Zone. He commended the Wolaita Development Association for its compassionate partnership, physical presence during the difficult time, financial support, and words of encouragement offered to the affected communities.
The support was officially handed over to Gamo Zone leaders by the Chief Executive Director of the Wolaita Development Association, Dr. Abebayehu Tora, together with Deputy Chief Executive Director Dr. Wondimu Wolde, in the presence of leaders from Wolaita Zone and Wolaita Sodo City Administration.
The Wolaita Development Association also extends its deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and relatives and to the entire people of Gamo Zone affected by the disaster, wishing them strength and comfort during this difficult time.
