WOLAITTA LIQA SCHOOL
Wolaita Liqa School is a school in Ethiopia based in Wolaita Sodo. The school is a recognized community model school in the community. Wolaita Liqa School was established by the Wolaita Development Association in Sodo Town in 2000, funded by Japan’s grant-in-aid for grassroots human security projects. After a while, the school was expanded to provide secondary education. Wolaita Liqa School is the leading school in South Ethiopia, with a prominent record in the national exam. The school has its own vision and mission, which is to produce talented and creative students and to advocate for and spread the value of education among those who are deprived of it.

The teaching & learning of the school is modeled on activity based learning (ABL) by employing ICT, science laboratories, and a STEM center. Wolaitta Liqa School also provides boarding services for both WODA beneficiaries & cost-sharing students. The school has many students who graduated from domestic & international colleges & universities and are organized as alumni.

ቁጥሮች ስለወላይታ ሊቃ ትምህርት ቤት
- ከ2005 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ለ11 ተከታታይ ዓመታት በሀገርአቀፍ ደረጃ የዩኒቨርሲቲ መግቢያ ፈተና ውጤት በመሪነትና ከፍተኛ ውጤት በማስመዝገብ አሳልፏል
- በእነዚህ ዓመታት 796 ተማሪዎችን ወደ የኒቨርሲቲ አስገብቷል
- ከ300 በላይ የሚሆኑ ተማሪዎች በህክምና ዶክትሬት ወደ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የተቀላቀሉ ሲሆን አብዛኞቹ ተመርቀው በሙያቸው ሀገራቸውን እያገለገሉ ናቸው፤ ሌሎቹ የስፔሻሊቲ ትምህርታቸውን እየተማሩ ነው
- ከ2002 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ለ13 ተከታታይ ዓመታት በ8ኛ ክፍል ክልላዊ ፈተና በመሪነት አጠናቅቋል
- ትምህርት ቤቱ በዓለምአቀፍ ደረጃ ተወዳዳሪ ተማሪዎችን ያፈራ ሲሆን እስካሁን በአሜሪካ፣ አውሮጳና ኤዢያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ትምህርታቸውን ጨርሰው በተለያየ ሙያ የተሰማሩ እና ትምህርታቸውን እየተከታተሉ ያሉ ከ100 በላይ ተማሪዎች አሉት
እንዲሁም ከትግራይ ቃላሚኖ ትምህርት ቤት ውጭ በሀገርአቀፍ ደረጃ ለተቋቋሙ ለሁሉም አዳሪ ትምህርት ቤቶች የተሞክሮ ማዕከል ነው፡፡

ትምህርት ቤታችን ወላይታ ሊቃ የ2016 ዓ.ም ትምህርት ዘመን በ8ኛ ክፍል ክልላዊ ፈተና በደቡብ ክልልና በወላይታ ዞን ከፍተኛ ውጤት በማምጣት ዓመቱን አጠናቅቋል፡፡
ትምህርት ቤቱ ያስፈተናቸዉን ሁሉንም ተማሪዎች ወደ 9ኛ ክፍል አዛዉሯል፤ ከፍተኛዉ አማካይ ዉጤት 96.55 ሲሆን ዝቅተኛዉ 81.43 ሆኖ ተመዝግቧል። እንዲሁም በደቡብ ክልል ከ1ኛ እስከ 6ኛ ያለዉን ደረጃ የወላይታ ሊቃ ትምህርት ቤት ተማሪዎች ይዘዋል።
ለዚህ ለተመዘገበው ከፍተኛ ውጤት የበኩላችሁን ሚና ለተጫወታችሁ የትምህርት ቤቱ መምህራን፣ ተማሪዎች፣ የተማሪ ወላጆች፣ እንዲሁም ለሌሎች ባለድርሻ አካላት ምስጋናችን ከፍ ያለ ነው፡፡
